Cochrane Response, the new evidence consultancy initiative from Cochrane.

We have set up Cochrane Response to increase Cochrane’s capacity to respond to requests for commissioned evidence reviews. We provide tailored and responsive evidence services, and accessible review formats for healthcare commissioners on a fee-for-service basis.

Cochrane’s vision is a world of improved health where decisions about healthcare are informed by high quality, relevant and up-to-date synthesised research evidence. Through Cochrane Response we want to ensure that we are providing the evidence services and products that commissioners, policy makers and guideline developers need to deliver evidence-informed healthcare decision making.

We have put in place an experienced systematic review team that will be managed by Rachel Marshall under the leadership of Karla Soares-Weiser. Through this responsive, friendly and professional team we will work collaboratively with commissioners and Cochrane networks to provide access to timely, targeted and accessible evidence services.

One of our early initiatives is targeted updates and we are also working with the Cochrane Rapid Reviews Methods Group to provide rapid review services.
