Who should attend

We encourage anyone who has an interest in evidence production, systematic reviews, research synthesis, and evidence-informed policy and practice to attend this year's first ever Global Evidence Summit.

The Summit is intended as an inter-sectoral and multi-disciplinary event exchanging ideas about how we best generate, summarize and communicate evidence to inform policy and practice. We anticipate input from a multitude of perspectives including education, social and criminal justice, environmental and gender health, health systems and clinical care and practice.

Summit delegates comprise:

Researchers and scientists

Individuals involved in conducting research, undertaking research syntheses, developing methods for identifying, appraising, and synthesizing evidence, translating research evidence into practice and policy, and exploring new ways of producing and using evidence.

Policy makers and managers

Those responsible for making recommendations and decisions regarding health and social welfare policy, including health technology assessors responsible for informing technology-related policy making.

Consumers and activists

Individuals who are either patients or consumers of health or social care or those advocate constituencies, whether in health, education, environment, social justice

Last but not least, we encourage students to come and learn about evidence-based approaches and policy.
